The AEU sponsors many email lists to promote communication among
members of Ethical Societies and the AEU. Some
are open lists, and some are closed lists -- some are general discussion
lists, some are for working committees or groups, some are
announcements-only.
Please read the
expectations and guidelines before subscribing or posting to any of
these lists.

announce: An announcements-only list (no responses and discussions)
of major AEU events and news of national interest.
board:
A list for discussions about the movement for AEU Board members, chairs
of major AEU committees, recent AEU Board members and officers, and AEU
staff.
board-only: A list for discussion among the members of the AEU Board
trustees.
celebrants: A discussion list for ALAS (associate
leaders for adjunct services) and professional leaders about weddings,
funerals, memorial services, baby namings, and other life passage and
creative ceremonies.
dialogue: The main discussion list for members and friends of the
Ethical movement. Subscriptions are open. The
expectations and guidelines apply.
espirit: Coming soon! Subscriptions accepted from Ethical Society
members who would like to explore positively the meaning of spirituality
in an Ethical Culture / Ethical Humanist context.
ethicalaction: A discussion list for exploring AEU Ethical Action
approaches. Please read the
list charter at for information on the purpose and ground rules
before subscribing to or writing to this list.

growth-l: A discussion list focused on issues of growth of the
Ethical movement: Society growth, movement extension into new geographic
areas, etc.
leadcomm: A discussion list for members of the AEU Leadership
Committee.
leaders: A discussion list for professional leaders in the AEU.
leadtraining: A discussion list for members of the AEU Leadership
Training Committee.
listmgrs: An announcement and discussion list for all individuals
who are managers or moderators on AEU email lists.

A discussion list for participants, faculty, and staff of the AEU Summer
School in all years (1996, 1998, 2000, 2002).
llss3:
A discussion list for participants, faculty, and staff of the AEU Summer
School in the year 2000.
llss4:
A discussion list for participants, faculty, and staff of the AEU Summer
School in the year 2002.
manifold: A discussion list for authors who write for the
Ethical Manifold Online.
memcomm: A discussion list for members of the AEU Membership
Committee.
mentors: Coming soon!
new-start: For future use, among those involved in new society
start-ups.
nleditors: An announcements and discussion list for AEU newsletter
editors.
nsdt-l:
For discussions among the members of the New Society Development Team.
pgmteam: No longer used.
presidents: For presidents of the local Ethical Societies or of
other affiliate organizations of the AEU.
re-l:
A discussion list for Ethical Society members and staff who are involved
in religious education programs, especially for children though with
some attention to adult education programming. Directors of
Religious Education, chairs of religious education committees, and
members of the AEU religious education committee are especially urged to
subscribe and participate.
share-l: coming soon!
smallsociety: Coming soon! (Subscriptions are open now.) A
discussion list for lay and professional leadership in smaller Ethical
Societies (75 members and less), to share ideas and resources and to
support each others' growth.
staffllss: For the staff of the AEU Lay Leadership Summer School,
used for planning the upcoming summer school session. Must be a
member of the Summer School staff to subscribe.
web-consult: For individuals who are part of the team that consults
about the AEU web site (this site). Must be a member of the team to
subscribe.
web-l:
For individuals who are responsible for Society web sites or who help
with the AEU web site, or who are generally interested in uses of the
web and Internet within the Ethical movement.
