More AEU Assembly
2003 Invitation
89th AEU Assembly - May 23-26, 2003
- Philadelphia
Dear Ethical Culture Member:
See you in Philadelphia! I’m pleased to invite you to
join me and other members of the Ethical Culture community in
Philadelphia May 23-May 26 over the Memorial Day weekend for the 89th
Assembly of The American Ethical Union.
Join us as together we investigate the theme “Our Common Faith: Building
a National Ethical Presence.”
Workshops are led
by our highly motivational, seasoned, and well-respected professionals
who are committed to helping you achieve excellence in your own
Societies. If I’m sure of anything, I’m sure of this. You’ll be
just as intrigued as I am with the unlimited possibilities offered by
such workshops as:
…as well as a multitude of other
interesting workshops specially designed to help us take control of our
creative vision and encourage us as we strive to build ethical
communities in these critical times. As members, you are
important to us and we have taken great care in presenting a
line-up of the most interesting and expert presenters the Ethical
Culture Movement has to offer.
I’ll also take the opportunity to introduce you to our new Executive
Director, John F. Hartman. John has many perceptive insights from
his extensive experience in managing non-profit organizations,
which he will share with you.
Sunday evening’s
highlight is the presentation of the Elliott-Black Award to Sam
Daly-Harris. Mr. Daly-Harris is President and Co-founder of
RESULTS Educational Fund, dedicated to ending world hunger.
It is at the Assembly that we elect the AEU Board of Directors and you
will be asked to give serious reflection to this task. In
undertaking this responsibility, we are empowered to make a potent
statement about our core values and the things we hold most important to
us as an Ethical community.
This year’s
activities are conjointly held at the historical Philadelphia Ethical
Society, at beautiful Camp Linden, and at the exceptionally appointed
(and nearby) Radisson Plaza-Warwick Hotel.
I urge you to
register today without delay! The first 50 members who
register before April 29th will receive one of two fabulous musical CD’s
done for and by ethical culture members/societies, so get your
registration in NOW! It’s going to feel so good to meet and warmly
greet our many, many friends and associates again. I look forward
to seeing you in
Philadelphia!
Sincerely Yours,
Brian A King
